LOVE & GIGGLES

I thought I would share some lovely snapshots of Aria. She is so fun to photograph. I love capturing all her moments as she grows. Right now she is doing normal 5 month old baby stuff like reaching for everything, trying to learn to sit, and really trying hard to crawl. I switched Aria's baby wash to California baby because her skin was getting so dry and so far I like it. I even notice her hair is coming in fast. Might be a coincidence (was using Johnson&Johnson before) but whatever helps. Open to any suggestions as well!

Shawn loves the park. Especially playing in the sand.  He's also amazing at the monkey bars. Can't believe how fast they grow. I feel like it was just yesterday he was born and now here we are 5 years later. It's not often Shawn lets me take pictures of him so I am glad I got a couple.

I hope all the moms had an amazing Mother's Day weekend! This was my first Mother's Day with Aria and i loved every second of it. I took the kids up to visit my dads house. They had a great time visiting with their great grandmother, who lives there too. She just brightens up when she sees the kids. Her and Shawn really enjoy going on their nature walks. She is 91 and still walks around my dad's 1.5 acre property. My dad got up early and made a breakfast feast (totally cheated on my diet). Since i don't have a mom it has been my dad and grandma who raised me and I'm so thankful for them.  I am so blessed to have an amazing family to share Mother's Day with ;)

I wanted to have something special to go along with the mother's day gifts this year so i thought why not have Shawn paint something. I had him paint two 8x10 pictures of whatever he liked to give to his grandma and his meemaw (great grandma). He accidentally used way too much paint on one of them and started to get sad because he thought he messed it up. I told him thats what makes it special and perfect =) We are driving up to visit my dad and Meemaw in West Palm beach. Really looking forward to spending the weekend with family. Hopefully my dad can squeeze in a camera lesson for me ;) Well hope everyone has a good weekend!  

spring time

Days like today make me realize why i love living in south Florida. It's so beautiful outside. Im looking forward to spending a lot of time outdoors with the kids. Shawn is signed up for summer baseball and i cant wait to watch him play. He's so energetic and loves all sports. Also looking forward to taking Aria to the beach for the first time and maybe making a trip to Disney World. Mothers Days is around the corner and I'm trying to work on a special gift for my grandma (she basically raised me). I hope everyone has an amazing weekend!

feathers

DIY feather garland 

Supplies needed:

-white feathers ( i used 6 because thats all that Michael's had left)

-yarn

-scissors

-paint and glitter of your choice ( i used gold)
-paint brush

paint your feathers about 1/3 of the way and immediately sprinkle with glitter

allow them to dry 

once they are dry, tie them onto your string. you can choose how far you want to space them

ALL DONE! fun and beautiful DIY =)

**just be careful when you're painting the feather because i guess i painted too hard and some of my feathers came apart =(
